Among the archaeological jewels that testify to a more than enigmatic past are the majestic statues of Bamiyan. Like the statues of Easter Island, those of Bamiyan represent the giant human races of a distant past.
A brief history
Like Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, Samael Aun Weor speaks to us of five Bamiyan statues. To this day, archaeologists have only discovered four. I transcribe here an excerpt from a lecture by V.M. Samael Aun Weor about these statues. But first, here is an excerpt from what is commonly found online as an explanation.
The Buddhas of Bamiyan have now disappeared after being destroyed in March 2001 by the Taliban. There were three statues: the large Buddha measuring 53 meters in height and the small Buddha measuring 38 meters in height, both located near the city of Bamiyan, as well as the Kakrak Buddha measuring 10 meters in height and located four kilometers to the southeast. The statues were originally colored, the largest in carmine red and the others in multiple colors.
A fourth Buddha is mentioned in ancient texts; it is said to be lying down, approximately 300 meters long, and buried under the valley’s alluvium. During a mission to locate this statue, a team of Afghan archaeologists discovered another reclining Buddha statue measuring 19 meters in length, also buried. The information regarding this fourth Buddha should be considered with caution, pending the results of ongoing archaeological studies.

Samael Aun Weor on the Bamiyan statues
The five Bamiyan statues discovered by the famous Chinese traveler Hicuan Thanng give us an idea of the different eras through which humanity has passed.
The largest represents the first human race, whose semi-etheric, semi-physical protoplasmic body is thus commemorated in hard, imperishable stone to inform future generations, as otherwise, its memory would never have survived the Atlantean flood. The protoplasmic race reproduced in a way similar to cell multiplication. Their body resembled a gelatinous form that allowed them to grow and shrink at will.
The second statue, 120 feet tall, represents the birth from sweat, the Hyperborean Race, giants who reproduced by spores. From their calves sprouted offspring that enabled the multiplication of the species. It is therefore not surprising that in Brazil, calves are called “the bellies of the legs.” The third measures 60 feet and wisely immortalizes the Lemurian Race, which inhabited the continent of Mu, or Lemuria, where the Pacific Ocean is now. Their last descendants are represented by the famous statues found on Easter Island.
The Lemurians were bisexual, pure androgynes. At that time, people didn’t know what it meant to make mistakes; there was no wickedness among them. “Mine” and “yours” did not exist; there were no borders, nor fences separating neighbors. Human beings were truly kings of nature, with the full manifestation of all their powers, and since they did not know religions, they called the seven deadly sins the “pluralized I”, or, as the ancient Egyptians said, “the terrible entities of Seth”. The Adam Solus of Christian symbolism represents these early human races.
The reproduction system of the hermaphroditic Lemurians operated through budding. The Father-Mother ovulated and, since it was composed of three polarities—masculine, feminine, and neutral—the egg had all the characteristics necessary for procreation according to the willpower of its parent.
The best individuals of this race formed the seed for the formation of the Atlantean Race, represented by the fourth Bamiyan statue mentioned at the beginning of this exposé. It was even smaller than the previous ones, but gigantic compared to our current Fifth Aryan Race that populates today’s continents. The Atlantean continent extended and was oriented toward the southern hemisphere, with its highest points reaching the north. Its mountains surpassed in width and height those that exist today. Atlantis geographically connected America with the Old World.
All the religious teachings of primitive America, all the sacred cults of the Incas, the Aztecs, the Mayas, the Egyptians, were the primitive religions of the Atlanteans. The gods and goddesses of the ancient Greeks, Phoenicians, Scandinavians, Hindus, etc., the gods and goddesses mentioned by Homer in the “Iliad” and the “Odyssey”, were heroes, kings, and queens of Atlantis.
The famous Dr. Heinrich Schliemann, who had the great honor of discovering the ruins of Old Troy, found among Priam’s treasures a strange, misshapen vase, very peculiar, on which was engraved a phrase of Phoenician character, reading literally: “From King Cronos of Atlantis”. It is interesting to know that among the objects unearthed in Tiahuanaco, in Central America, vases were found similar to those in Priam’s treasures. When these vases were broken for scientific purposes, coins were always found inside them, on which could be clearly read the phrase: “Issued in the Temple with Transparent Walls, Atlantean National Treasure.”
In the archives of the ancient Buddhist Temple of Lhasa, one can read a very old Chaldean inscription, written two thousand years before Christ, which says: “When the star Baal fell at the place where there is now only sea and sky, the Seven Cities with their golden gates and transparent temples trembled and shook like the leaves of a tree shaken by storms; and then a great wave of fire and smoke rose in the palaces, and cries of agony filled the air. They sought refuge in their temples and citadels, and the wise Mu, the priest of Ra-Mu, came forward and said to them: Did I not foretell this to you? You will die with your slaves and your riches, and from your ashes new nations will arise. If they forget that they must be superior not by what they acquire, but by what they give, the same will happen to them.”
Atlantis endured terrible and frightening catastrophes before totally disappearing. The first catastrophe occurred around eight hundred thousand years ago; the second, two hundred thousand years ago, and the third took place eleven thousand years ago, and it is this one—and its flood—that is more or less confusedly remembered in the traditions of all human races.
The Great Aryan Race, of which we are the seventh sub-race (the Fifth Sun in the Aztec Calendar), is represented by the fifth great Bamiyan statue. The Sixth Great Race, the Koradhi Race, will be smaller than the Aryan Race, and the Seventh will measure approximately twenty-five centimeters in height; each will repeat the cycle of seven sub-races. In the new Maha-manvantara, the old planet Earth will be transformed into the Moon, and a new planet will take its place. THIS IS THE LAW.
