Víctor Manuel Gómez Rodríguez was born in Colombia on March 3, 1917. His deep spiritual concerns led him to profound investigation in the fields of psychology, anthropology, science, practical esotericism, and early Christianity. Through the practical application of the three factors of the revolution of consciousness, he embodied his real Being, Samael Aun Weor.
His doctrine remains embedded in dozens of works translated into various languages; a teaching which in turn is synthesized in five major works that he particularly recommended for all those who truly want to delve into their inner world through direct experience, considering it essential to go beyond mere literal, intellectual interpretation.
He founded the Universal Christian Gnostic Movement of Colombia in 1960, whose principles are practiced today in most countries around the world. He passed away in Mexico City on December 24, 1977, after having devoted his entire life to the good of humanity.
